Is VERTEX GmbH the manufacturer of the Honeywell Vertex™ system?
No, and the similarity of the names causes regular confusion. Honeywell Vertex™ is a multi-point gas monitoring system manufactured by Honeywell International Inc. VERTEX GmbH is an independent German company registered in Krefeld in 2020 under HRB 17755, which supplies, installs and services that system along with the rest of the Honeywell gas detection portfolio.
When is Chemcassette® detection the right technology?
When the substances are toxic at parts-per-billion level and a reading alone is not enough. Chemcassette® tape reacts chemically with the target gas and leaves a stain, so an exposure event is physically recorded rather than only logged. This is the standard approach for hydrides, mineral acids and other specialty gases in semiconductor manufacturing and in research laboratories.
How many measuring points can one system cover?
Honeywell Vertex™ covers up to 72 points and detects over 40 gas types, Vertex™ M covers 8 to 24 points, and the VC4 is a four-point analyser. For infrared multi-gas detection, the ACM 150G2 monitors up to 40 points sequentially with up to 15 gases per location. The point count is a consequence of the sampling concept, so it is decided together with the tubing layout and the required response time.
What does a high tech installation need from the supplier after commissioning?
Consumables and discipline. Chemcassette® tapes, sampling tubing, filters and spare cartridges have to be available before they run out, calibration and functional testing have to happen on schedule, and the documentation has to hold up to a customer or regulatory audit. That continuing supply and service relationship is the part we contract for, not just the initial delivery.
