SmartLine® ST800 and ST700 pressure transmitters
SmartLine® is Honeywell's modular pressure measurement platform for harsh process environments, in two performance tiers: the ST800 for the highest demands and the ST700 for smart performance at conventional prices.
What it is
Purpose and use
The ST800 is specified for critical process control loops, custody transfer and SIL2 safety applications. Honeywell states industry leading stability up to 0.01 % of span per year for ten years, accuracy up to 0.0375 % of span as standard and 0.025 % of span optional, turndown ratios up to 400:1, a wide range of materials and measurement spans, and an available lifetime warranty.
The ST700 is positioned for monitoring, critical process control loops and SIL2 safety, with stability up to 0.02 % of span per year for five years, accuracy up to 0.05 % of span and turndown ratios up to 100:1.
Both tiers share the platform features: absolute, differential, gauge, remote seal, flanged (level) and multivariable transmitters, temperature and static pressure compensation, a universal terminal, modular design components, SIL2 certification with SIL3 capability as standard, dual seal compliance and an advanced graphic display. Honeywell backs the modular SmartLine® pressure offering with global agency and SIL certifications and an industry leading 15-year warranty.

Questions about SmartLine® ST800 and ST700 pressure transmitters
ST800 or ST700 — where is the dividing line?
The ST800 is the choice for custody transfer, for loops where the measurement accuracy directly affects yield or billing, and where a ten-year stability figure removes recalibration visits. The ST700 covers monitoring duties and most control loops at a lower price. On a plant with hundreds of transmitters, the split usually lands somewhere around a fifth on the ST800.
Why order the transmitter and manifold as an assembly?
Because it removes a fitting operation, a leak path and a commissioning step on site. Honeywell offers integrated, pretested assemblies precisely for this — the saving is in site labour, not in the parts.
