Honeywell BW™ Solo
The BW™ Solo is the serviceable counterpart to the fixed-life single-gas detectors: sensors and batteries are replaceable, and Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity gives real-time visibility of the status and safety of workers in hazardous areas.

What it is
Purpose and use
Honeywell specifies detection of up to 15 user-selected common or exotic gases, which is what makes the Solo interesting beyond the standard four. Where a process involves a gas that no standard multi-gas instrument covers, a fleet of single-gas Solos configured for that substance is often the cleaner answer than an oversized multi-gas device.
Data can be downloaded directly from the detector or from its docking station to a PC and fed into Honeywell Safety Suite, which automates compliance tasks such as regulatory records management. Lightweight construction and simple servicing are stated by the manufacturer as the route to lower long-term cost of ownership.

FAQ
Questions about Honeywell BW™ Solo
When is a serviceable detector cheaper than a maintenance-free one?
Roughly whenever the instrument stays in service beyond the fixed life of a disposable device and there is an organisation to maintain it. We calculate it over four years with your fleet size, your sensor prices and your calibration effort rather than comparing unit prices.
Can the BW™ Solo be used for a gas that is not in the standard list?
The instrument supports up to 15 user-selected common or exotic gases. Whether your specific substance is among them is checked against the current Honeywell configuration list before we quote — we do not promise a sensor that does not exist.
