What it is

Purpose and use

Honeywell positions the instrument for industries such as steel, waste water and paper manufacturing — exactly the processes where the relevant hazards are not the textbook combination of oxygen, hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide and combustible gas. A large, high-resolution display supports readings in a wide range of languages.

For a purchaser, the Flex is the instrument to specify when the answer to the question "which gases?" takes more than one line. It replaces the awkward compromise of carrying two instruments, or of monitoring a substance indirectly.

FAQ

Questions about Honeywell BW™ Flex

Our process has an unusual gas. Can the BW™ Flex cover it?

Possibly. The instrument supports a choice of more than 15 sensors with up to four active at once. We check your specific substance against the current sensor list and tell you plainly if it is not covered — in which case a dedicated single-gas instrument or a different measuring principle is the honest answer.

Can one instrument replace two different detectors we carry today?

Often yes, if the combined gas list stays within four simultaneous channels and the required sensors exist. That consolidation is usually where the saving is, not in the unit price.
