What it is
Purpose and use
Everything that makes a four-gas instrument expensive to own — the charging routine, the sensor stock, the workshop time — is removed by design. What remains is functional testing, which is handled by a docking station.
The Clip4 is therefore the instrument for the situation that causes most gas detection failures in practice: a device handed to someone who is not part of the organisation that maintains it. Contractors, shutdown crews, hired inspection personnel and visitors all fall into that category.

Is a disposable four-gas detector acceptable for permit-to-work?
The instrument type is not what decides that — the alarm thresholds, the gases covered, the functional test record and your own procedure do. For pre-entry testing of a confined space you additionally need an instrument that can draw a sample, which is a different device class.
How do we avoid a fleet expiring all at once?
By staggering procurement. We keep the expiry dates of your fleet on record and propose replacement batches in advance, so the cost is spread and no shift is left without instruments.
