Controllers, recorders and data acquisition
Single-loop control and process recording are the parts of an installation that outlive several generations of control system. Honeywell's controller and recorder range covers both with current devices that still fit the existing panel cut-out.

What it is
Purpose and use
The UDC2800 is Honeywell's next-generation panel-mounted temperature controller, with support for Bluetooth and remote app-based configuration, a full-colour TFT screen and precision and efficiency improvements that contribute to cost savings. It is the solution for single-loop control in furnaces, boilers, ovens, environmental chambers, dryers and cookers.
The DRC900C is a microprocessor-based circular chart recorder for accurate analog trace documentation: 10-inch charts with single or dual-pen configurations, versions with or without local displays, a capacitive touch interface for process variable viewing and local configuration, and remote monitoring and configuration through Bluetooth and Modbus.
Honeywell's wider portfolio covers strip chart, circular chart and paperless recorders for viewing, storing and managing process data, together with digital control programmers that run predetermined processing or testing schedules on a time-versus-setpoint program, with universal inputs and multi-channel models.

FAQ
Questions about Controllers, recorders and data acquisition
Our controller is obsolete. Does the whole panel have to be rebuilt?
Usually not. The cut-out, the signal type and the terminal arrangement decide it. We identify what is installed and check whether a current device can take its place with the existing wiring — which is the cheapest route and normally the fastest.
Why are circular chart recorders still specified?
Because some processes are governed by a documentation requirement that expects a physical trace, and because a recorder keeps working when the network does not. The DRC900C combines that with Bluetooth and Modbus, so the same device also feeds digital systems.
